This May, Stingray DJAZZ presents ‘Monday & Wednesday Night at Moods’, a series of special broadcasts from Zurich’s internationally renowned jazz club. Some of the most exciting artists in contemporary music travel to Switzerland to perform at Moods. Enjoy a selection of their finest performances every Monday and Wednesday evening in May on Stingray DJAZZ. On May 5, delight in the sounds of Swiss harmonica virtuoso Grégoire Maret alongside Italian pianist Antonio Faraò's trio. May 7 brings the vibrant rhythms of the Spanish Harlem Orchestra. On May 12, let yourself be mesmerized by the collaboration between New York City-based flutist Hadar Noiberg and Spanish pianist Chano Domínguez. May 14 features Swiss pianist Yves Theiler, who delves into the boundless realms of jazz piano trio artistry. On May 19, the soul scene's current favorites, Hannah Williams & The Affirmations, electrify Moods’ stage. On May 21, Zürich-born guitarist Silvan Jeger expands his solo project Ornithology into a dynamic trio with bassist Jan Roder and drummer Dieter Ulrich. On May 26, versatile Swiss pianist Florian Favre presents his trio at Moods. Finally, on May 28, renowned pianist Shai Maestro and trumpeter Ari Bragi Karason lead the ensemble Melismetiq at Moods. At Moods, British singer Hannah Williams captures the sound of 1960s soul music, mixing it with funk and rock influences. This groovy blend caught music industry giant Jay-Z's attention: he sampled one of Williams' songs on his album '4:44'.

Guitarist Silvan Jeger expanded his solo project Ornithology into a trio with bassist Jan Roder and drummer Dieter Ulrich. At Moods, Ornithology explores various approaches to spontaneous improvisation.

The venue books a large variety of genres, ranging from jazz and soul to electronic and international music. Pianist Florian Favre has already earned a firm place on the Swiss jazz scene. His trio, with Manu Hagmann on bass and Arthur Hnatek on drums, performs an engaging concert at Moods full of surprising twists, lyrical passages and rhythmical sensitivity.

At the same time, it has become one of Europe’s prominent jazz clubs which today enjoys a well-deserved worldwide reputation among musicians and critics. The venue books a large variety of genres, ranging from jazz and soul to electronic and international music. Shai Maestro, Ari Bragi Kárason, Rick Rosato and Arthur Hnatek are collectively known as Melismetiq. The quartet's dreamy yet spirited jazz sound is characterized by Karason's gentle trumpet and Maestro's lyrical piano playing, accompanied by Rick Rosato (bass) and Arthur Hnatek (drums).
