Jason opens his concert playing the drums with the Thomas Pol Quartet, after which he switches to the vibraphone for a performance with the JazzArt Orchestra. Their inventive minds explore various facets of modern jazz. Let their unparalleled musicianship surprise you on Stingray DJAZZ on October 29 at 21:00 CEST.
JazzArt Orchestra feat. Jason Marsalis
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 29 AT 21:00 CEST
Jazz, funk, or soul: the JazzArt Orchestra tackles each genre without batting an eye. One of the orchestra’s ambitions is to cooperate with other art disciplines and to contribute to the local cultural climate in the East of the Netherland. For a 2019 concert at Zwolle’s Odeon Theatre, the orchestra is joined by drummer and vibraphonist Jason Marsalis, brother of famous trumpeter and artistic director of Jazz at Lincoln Center Wynton Marsalis. Their creative minds explore various intricacies of modern jazz.
