During the last week of April, every day at 19:00 CEST Stingray DJAZZ presents the best of jazzahead! 2018-2019, which happens at the same time as this year’s digital edition of jazzahead! 2021. The international trade fair, exhibition, renowned festival, and one of the most important events in the jazz community, jazzahead! is hosted annually in Bremen, Germany. It brings together musicians, bookers, agents, organizers, jazz experts and music enthusiasts. Gregory Privat Trio

Gregory Privat’s roots are from Martinique, which influences the pianist’s style more than anything else. Placing Caribbean-inspired elements at the core of his performances, Gregory Privat Trio is part of the 13th edition of the jazzahead! lineup.

Justin Kauflin was mentored by the great Clark Terry. His blindness made the pianist develop a strong touch and an impressive dynamic range. Shifting away from his classical music background, Kauflin is part of the 13th edition of the jazzahead! lineup.
Jazzmeia Horn

Jazzmeia Horn is a winner of the 2015 Thelonious Monk Institute International Jazz Competition. Blending spirituality, scat singing, smooth vocals as well as inspiring story-telling, the singer is part of the 13th edition of the jazzahead! lineup.
Marcin Wasilewski Trio
THURSDAY, APRIL 29 AT 19:00 CEST
Marcin Wasilewski Trio has been playing together for nearly 25 years and includes some of the brightest Polish jazz stars. Blending traditional and contemporary sound, the group is part of the 13th edition of the jazzahead! lineup.
Matthew Whitaker
FRIDAY, APRIL 30 AT 19:00 CEST
The American jazz pianist Matthew Whitaker is a major new voice on jazz piano, organ, and a wide range of keyboard instruments. He appears at jazzahead! 2019 with guitarist Marcos Robinson, bassist Karim Hutton, and drummer Isaiah Johnson.

Pianist Elliot Galvin, a rising star of UK jazz, is also a superbly gifted composer. His maverick imagination and magpie-like ability to blend disparate influences into his own unique musical vision has prompted comparisons to Django Bates.
