Stingray DJAZZ presents its new series jazzahead! 2021 every Friday throughout April at 21:00 CEST. An international trade fair, exhibition, and renowned festival, jazzahead! is one of the most important events in the jazz community. Hosted annually in Bremen, Germany, it brings together musicians, bookers, agents, organizers, jazz experts, and music enthusiasts. Due to COVID-19, only half of the scheduled performances of the 2021 edition were actually recorded in Bremen. The other performances were captured by the artists themselves in various locations of their own choosing. Tilo Weber Quartet "Four Fauns"

The German, Berlin-based drummer and composer Tilo Weber studied drums and composition in Berlin and Hamburg respectively. At jazzahead! 2021, Weber presents his own quartet, “Four Fauns”, which focuses on the drummer's original compositions.
The True Harry Nulz

Seven-piece ensemble The True Harry Nulz consists of two bass clarinets, two guitars, two drums, and electric bass. Their arrangements are full of unison stereo effects and offer room for outbursts of improvisation: Austro-Helvetia-Power at its best!
Rembrandt Frerichs Trio

Dutch pianist and composer Rembrandt Frerichs leads his own Rembrandt Frerichs Trio. His style is influenced by the American jazz tradition, as well as Arabic music. The pianist also teaches jazz piano in various conservatories in the Netherlands.

NIAQUE is a German jazz band led by Stefan Karl Schmid and Philipp Brämswig. Coming from a contemporary jazz background, the group’s playing is characterized by an extraordinary sensitivity and sensual power, in addition to technical virtuosity.
