Like every month, Editor’s Choice presents a handpicked favorite of Stingray DJAZZ's editor-in-chief, Karen van der Stal. This month, Karen spotlights The Amazing Keystone Big Band. This French ensemble, led by trombonist Bastien Ballaz, saxophonist Jon Boutellier, pianist Fred Nardin and trumpeter David Enhco, helps young and adult audiences all over the world discover jazz in all its guises. Performing material from their album “We Love Ella” at this 2019 concert from Paris’ Salle Pleyel, The Amazing Keystone Big Band reinvents legendary vocalist Ella Fitzgerald's greatest successes. Special guests include renowned jazz manouche guitarist Biréli Lagrène, American singer China Moses, and Australian singer-pianist Sarah McKenzie.
