JANUARY PREMIERES: NORTH SEA JAZZ FESTIVAL
SUNDAYS THROUGHOUT JANUARY AT 21:00 CET
Every Sunday evening throughout January, Stingray DJAZZ premieres new concerts at 21:00 CET. This month, special attention goes to the North Sea Jazz Festival’s archives. The festival itself is the largest indoor music festival in the world, known globally as the event where the past, present and future of jazz are featured within three days. Next to a firm base of jazz as the festival’s staple music genre, many others, such as blues, soul, funk, or hip hop, pass by. Enjoy a no-holds-barred performance by Dorothy Donegan Trio’s on January 3, followed by Lou Rawls' soulful concert on January 10. Tune in for an appearance by Muddy Waters' Blues Band on January 17, and watch the fleet-fingered Oscar Peterson tickle the ivories on January 24.
