TRIBUTE TO TONY BENNETT
SUNDAY, JULY 21 AT 21:00
On July 21, it was exactly one year ago that the world was saddened by the news of the passing of the legendary vocalist Tony Bennett. The amazing crooner enjoyed an incredibly long career from the 1940s to the early 2020s, in which he received 20 Grammy Awards, a Lifetime Achievement Award, and two Primetime Emmy Awards. Bennett was one of the great crooners of the genre’s Golden Era, alongside the likes of Frank Sinatra and Johnny Mathis, and liked to surround himself with jazz musicians. On July 21, Stingray DJAZZ honors the unforgettable performer by broadcasting his debut appearance at the iTunes Festival at London's Roundhouse in 2010. In this stellar concert, Bennett and his swinging quartet perform his biggest hits, including "The Best is Yet to Come", "Fly Me to the Moon", and his signature song, "I Left My Heart in San Francisco".
